About Mary Cindrich
Mary Cindrich is an illustrator and designer specializing in intricate paintings of sparkly-eyed critters, sweet treats, playful watercolors of children, and detailed illustrated textiles. She is very interested in the aesthetics of make-believe worlds and alternative fashion and combines this inspiration with nostalgic colors, decorative layouts, and meticulous detail.
A native of Metro-Detroit, Mary now resides in the city of Chicago. She spends her limited free time with her husband and their tiny zoo of small animals. Mary also enjoys sipping on tea with friends, researching and collecting vintage toys, designing and sewing new articles of clothing for her pastel wardrobe. Seeking some variety, Mary decided to pick up additional work and became the manager of the world's first marshmallow cafe in Rogers Park. She now balances running a super sweet cafe with her full time freelance career.
Her clients have included Ford Motor Company, HOUR Publishing, Punky Pins, Meegenius, Metroparent Magazine, the "Let's Chat About" series, DBA World Wide, Colorbok, DMC Children's Hospital, East Detroit Public Schools to name a few with projects ranging from marketing illustration and editorial to children's books, invitation design, and textiles.
